PHASE II

I finally got phase 2 which means i can dress in civilian clothes in public, so i bought a slipknot tshirt, pantera tshirt, slipknot hoodie, a pair of shorts, and a pair of DC skate shoes. all coming out to about 144 dollars and some change. which isnt bad for me i guess since i wear the same shirts for a couple years before i get rid of them. im not one of those people that have to get new clothes every year. but every year i do get new shirts, only to replace the ones that are older than 2 years so i always have the same amount of shirts.

the other thing that phase 2 allows you to do is not go to phase 1 muster which is awesome. phase 1 muster meant getting dressed in dress uniforms and going out into the cold to prove that i am here before curfew. so i dont have to be back until 2200 (8:00 PM for all of you non military time readers out there.

i received a care package from mom today, which had in it a bunch of snacks including oreos, and popcorn, a letter from rachel, marshel, and mom. marshel actually says he wrote me 10 letters but all on one page, which is a smart idea. it was cute. it made me want to cry, but i got over it.

Mike gets his orders!!!

I found out today that i am going to Sasebo, Japan and i am stationed aboard the Amphibious assault ship (LHD-2) USS ESSEX. im still not sure when it leaves or gets back from its current tour but it looks pretty sweet. I am going to start practicing japanese again. I know its been a while since i added anything but im gonna try and go out with a camera and take pics of the base and what not.

Im not that dumb after all!!

Today, for no reason i took an IQ test, two actually, on one from a different IQ website i scored a 101 with an average of 100. On the other IQ site I scored a 119 with an average of 100. two different websites, two different scores, two different test formats, by formats i mean, one was 30 questions and 15 minutes and the other was 30 and 10 minutes. i am obviously going to be claiming the 119 or at least a score in the middle of the two. the highest score possible was a 140 so i count myself as smart.

Metal Gear Solid MADNESS!!!

I stayed at Uncle Bobby's and Aunt Paula's house for two days, all i really did was rent Metal Gear Solid 4 (yeah ive beaten all of them so far) and i played it for seven hours in two days which isnt a lot but it was fun. they have a PS3 and i enjoyed hogging it for those seven hours. i made it through at least half of the game. We also went outside and tried catching lizards. The power went out twice on the second day, it was raining really hard and was really windy.

Happiest place on Earth!!

Yup, you guessed it. We went to DISNEY WORLD. Yes, it is a place that attracts more children than adults, but its still fun no matter how old you get and some people will not admit it, but i will.
We went to Disney at 1:30 and left around 9. That sums up what we did today. More to come, later on.

Comida Brasileira/ Fort Douglas revisit

Today, dad had a sort of convention to go to at the U, for nursing i guess since he is going to be a family nurse practitioner soon, so Fatima, Isabella, and I walked around Fort Douglas and i got to go to some places i hadnt seen in a while including where we used to pick cherries when i was a child, and the medical towers where we used to live. We also went to the U of U campus' cultural hall while waiting and got some drinks. Soon after we discovered an interfaith church and went inside, it was very echoey (not sure how to say it) and we discovered the rope which led to the bell which we pulled out of curiosity. I suddenly felt hungry after having an appetizer of some blueberries which we found on a nearby tree, chocolate, and mints. We went to "Grille from Ipanema" and i ate as much chicken, garlic steak, top sirloin, pork, and grilled pineapples i could, along with yuca, fried bananas, guarana, grilled veggies, and rice. I was so full i had to lean back the whole ride home, but it was worth it. I leave for Florida on monday, and cant wait to see family again. well, another edition of "Mike Daily" will be typed tomorrow hopefully. good evening everyone.

a day of in home entertainment

today, i slept until 1 which i think is my record of earliest wake up time. anyways dad had to work today so we just played some games, i played on my computer for a while, and know im watching conen o'brien, and before this i watched jay leno, which wasnt as funny as yesterdays but he is still funny.

whats going on with me

well i am writing for july 28. that day i did a lot of stuff, we went downtown and went to the UofU natural history museum, which was free that day because of the groundbreaking ceremony, they were building another part of it, but somewhere else, it is not located near the original NHM. soon after that we visited the "Pie Pizzeria" where we ate a cheese pizza which was the best pizza ever. Pie Pizzeria makes the best pizzas in salt lake. after that i went somewhere i have never been before, a catholic church, namely St Madeleines church built in 1900. we went inside and i checked out the room with the prayer altar where the people pray, and light prayer candles. after that we went into the mass hall and sat down at one of the benches. there was some music playing being played by some woman which sounded a bit like a horror movie. as we were leaving i took a look inside the confession booth which looked nothing like what you see in the movies where it is a screen and the preast sits on one side. in this one, the priest sits on one side as the confessor kneels down (similar to the prayer room with the candles) and confesses. its kind of hard to explain. unfortunately i was not able to obtain any pictures of it in respect for the church. we ended the day by going to walmart for a couple hours and shopping.

Soon To Come

i have a couple other dreams that i still remember, just dont remember the dates. i will be posting them when i am done typing them up, they are a little longer than the two posted now. One includes Angelina Jolie and all celebrities in a futuristic setting where their house is depending on their fame. The other includes some kid from my english class, Demi Moore, ex-girlfriends, and Brisket. Pretty interesting. Stay tuned.

"The recurring Dream"

The title means what it says, this dream was a recurring dream i could never figure out as it made no sense.

This one was a recurring dream. I had this dream for at least three weeks every night. I would be walking in the middle of nowhere and it would be raining and then out of nowhere would come this cave. I would walk into the cave and as I progress through the first door rocks fall in its way so I cant get out. Same with the second door except this door leads to the monsters lair. I walk slowly to get a better look at the monster and I notice he is a cyclops. I look a bit lower and notice he has the key to get out of this place. I survey the area making sure there is nothing in the way that is going to wake him up I slowly creep trying to ge to him and get the key. And out of nowhere comes a twig, which I step on. He wakes up and begins to chase me. The only cover near is the furniture around the edges of the lair. I jump under and start crawling around, he smacks the furniture away trying to find me but I keep going and the furniture keeps reappearing against the wall even though he smacks it away. So I keep crawling away while he keeps smacking them away and they reappear until I THE END

"The Rockstar"

This one is the one i had last night (july 27, 2008)

I was lead singer of “The Darkness” (this was shortly after the lead singer left the band. We were going to play a gig at some festival and my microphone was refusing to work. We tried a lot of stuff to get it to work but it just wouldn’t. I couldn’t stretch the guitar cord enough to get another microphone from far away. So we knocked my brother out and took a dollar from his wallet and hired a new singer. The moment the new singer announced he was going to be singing instead everyone but fie people from the audience left. We played anyways. I woke up. THE END
